TAMING THE PARTY MONSTER
When it comes to party planning, many of us cower at the overwhelming monster that it can become. From the catering to the thank-you notes, the whole thing can take on a life of its own.
As a branding and public relations agency, we thrive on watching an idea become reality – from inception to execution. And when planning an event for a client, we like to put ourselves in the partygoer’s shoes – mentally taking in the experience from the moment the invitation arrives to the moment we say our good-byes. It helps to envision the touchpoints that the guests will inevitably encounter (our detailed check list can even help you walk through the event before it happens).
Like our approach to environmental branding, we look at an event as a branding opportunity. This helps us create new opportunities for the client (host) to build a relationship with the customer (guest) throughout the event.
We believe that if you look at the scope of an event just like you would a product roll-out, infused with your brand throughout the occasion, you’ll see that the party monster isn’t scary. He’s just misunderstood.
THERE WILL BE FAKE BLOOD
The Lafayette Science Museum’s annual Museum of Fear has quickly become a local tradition for thrill seekers and adrenaline junkies, and this year, they’re looking for a few good corpses. The Museum of Fear will host Zombie Walk 2012, a promotional event, on October 27 at 5:00PM in Downtown Lafayette. Museum Director, Kevin Krantz, can regularly be spotted Downtown in full zombie garb, infecting passersby with excitement for the upcoming event.
AIA Louisiana - ArchiTrek 2012
TREK OR TREAT
Right Angle recently assisted Abell + Crozier + Davis Architects (ACDA) with branding for ArchiTrek, a downtown firm crawl that took place during the AIA Louisiana Design Conference 2012. The event invited conference-goers to trek through the offices of four area architecture firms while sampling food, drinks, and inspiration.
Kids Specialty Center - Celebrate Life 2012
A PARTY WITH ELEVATED SPIRIT
Behind the face paint and under the balloon creature hats were smiling, radiant faces at Women’s & Children’s Hospital’s second annual Celebrate Life. In observance of National Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, Dr. Ammar Morad, Pediatric Oncologist/Hematologist with the Kids Specialty Center, hosted the event for patients and their families. The morning at Town Square of River Ranch featured food, music, and activities for families. Right Angle staffers were even on hand to paint faces and lead kids in a hoola-hooping contest!
Van Eaton & Romero - DTA Beertending 2012
IT'S ALIVE!
Friends of Right Angle and leading area real estate firm, Van Eaton & Romero, showed their Ragin’ Cajun pride at a recent Downtown Alive! in Lafayette’s Parc Sans Souci. Van Eaton & Romero agents and staff volunteered during the UL Lafayette Homecoming Pep Rally by “beertending” while local band 5th Avenue performed. Thanks to them, no thirst went unquenched.
Lafayette Horse Farm - Moonlight on the Meadow
DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK
Not everything in the moonlight is spooky – some things can actually be enlightening! Right Angle recently created artwork for Moonlight on the Meadow, the inaugural event to benefit Lafayette’s historic Horse Farm with Lafayette City-Parish President Joey Durel. The upcoming fundraising event for visionaries and luminaries will celebrate the Horse Farm’s history while looking forward to its future.
