A MOVEMENT IN MOTION
Across the country and around the globe, eco-conscious communities are moving public transportation in a different direction. New York, Boston, and San Diego are just a few U.S. cities that are adding compressed natural gas (CNG) buses to their fleets in an effort to be more environmentally proactive. And here in Lafayette, this green movement is taking – well, motion.

CNG is the environmentally clean alternative fossil fuel that powers Lafayette Transit System’s new buses. And chances are, you've already seen them moving around town. But what you might not know is that before the buses took to the roads, Right Angle's creative team designed them.

We crafted the eco-centric vehicle graphics using a pattern of dispersing leaves and the words “fueled by nature.” Senior Art Director Blake Lagneaux even earned Right Angle the 2012 People’s Choice Award at the American Advertising Federation of Acadiana ADDY® Awards – proving that great design is in our nature.

We designed the CNG buses in the hope that they would become declarations of a greener future and movable reminders of Lafayette’s progressive spirit.

DESIGNED WITH HEART
Every kid deserves a place where they can have fun, be themselves, and make friends. But for the 40,000 kids born each year with heart problems, that can be particularly difficult. Thankfully, there’s a place where kids with heart defects can just be kids.

Camp Bon Coeur (Camp Good Heart) is a not-for-profit residential summer camp for kids dealing with cardiovascular issues. Based in South Louisiana, the camp takes place annually in July and provides a fun, safe environment for “cardiac campers” who need additional support because of their conditions.

Recently, Right Angle redesigned the identity system for the program with a logo, a brochure, and the tagline, “Uncommon hearts. Common ground.” We also created marketing for Camp Bon Coeur’s annual fundraisers including: Art Under Wraps and Hearty Party.

Partnering with Camp was – for lack of a better phrase – a labor of love.
FILLING UP ON CREATIVITY
Sometimes it takes a little refueling to ignite creative drive. And that’s exactly what our creative team received at the 26th Annual Creative Summit in San Marcos, Texas. For two days, our three designers and our copywriter attended presentations from some of the world’s most innovative graphic artists.

The team caused quite a stir in their CMYK T-shirts, quickly becoming the conference's unofficial mascots. They returned home with a full tank of creative juice.

THE NAME IS NOMES
Naomi Primeaux (or Nomes as she is affectionately referred to by her co-workers) is our dancer-in-residence, hoarder of awards, and newest graphic designer. She may be the youngest member of our creative team, but she creates with the sensibility and vision of a seasoned veteran. Fueled by her passion for logos and color, Nomes has the drive to transform simple ideas into brilliant brands.
