JULY eNewsletter - Your Attention Please
A SECOND (OR EIGHT) OF YOUR TIME, PLEASE
Eight seconds. According to a 2012 study by the Associated Press, that’s all the time you have to get your customer’s attention. That time can be lengthened or, unfortunately, shortened by a variety of factors including color choices for an ad, load times on your website, or music selection. It can become the most dangerous game you play with your brand. The wrong decision can be costly – the right one can make your brand memorable for years down the road.

As part of our Dimensional Branding strategy, Right Angle looks at the psychology behind the decision-making process and what it can (and should) mean to your potential customers. We keep sentences short, images clean, and impressions lasting. We implement psychographics aimed at discovering the words and phrases that “click” with your desired target audience.

It’s a new angle on branding – one that will help you make the most of those eight seconds.
Camp Bon Coeur
ATTENTION FOR A GOOD CAUSE
Camp Bon Coeur was created to give children and young adults who suffer from congenital heart defects a traditional summer camp experience that they may not be able to enjoy otherwise. Staffed by volunteers and trained medical professionals, Camp Bon Coeur offers a complete camping experience (with many of the activities for which traditional camps are known) as a two-week program with the cardiac camper in mind.

At Right Angle, we know how much Camp Bon Coeur means to its campers, their parents, and all of the people who make it a reality. In an effort to raise awareness about this unique nonprofit, we teamed up with Jamie Orillion Photography to produce a video that captures its true spirit. These campers may have uncommon hearts, but at Camp Bon Coeur, they’re sure to find common ground.

BIG WINDOWS. BIG IMPACT.
Exciting things are happening inside the Lafayette Science Museum. With a mission to make science accessible and fun Curator Kevin Krantz and his staff are eager to let locals and visitors in on the excitement. The downtown Lafayette attraction is now home to an all-digital planetarium, interactive displays, and a number of exhibits — some curated by the museum staff and others through partnerships with various science departments at UL Lafayette.

While the inside of the former Heymann department store has been transformed into a must-see destination for science lovers, Right Angle has helped to extend some of the museum’s new energy into the streets. Colorful window decals, depicting various “-ologies” of science invite passers-by to DISCOVER what the Lafayette Science Museum has to offer — a chance to embrace their “inner nerd.”
